What is arthroscopic meniscectomy?

Arthroscopic meniscectomy is keyhole surgery to remove damaged cartilage in the knee. A torn meniscus is a common, painful knee injury that can be improved with a minimally invasive procedure.

Damage to the cartilage within the knee (meniscus) can happen at any age. A meniscectomy or partial meniscectomy removes all or part of this damaged cartilage, reducing pain and swelling in the knee and improving range of movement.
